« A Social Network for Everyone | Main | Be in the box » The British are gone (broadband)!Posted by Bob Brin on March 28, 2007 at March 28, 2007 9:31 PMInteresting stats here from eMarketer on the international broadbandwagon. The brits are a tad ahead of the US from a percentage standpoint. But look at the Chinese, a close second in numbers and yet at only 12% penetration. Rich media will rule. We still run into folks worrying about building Web sites and e-campaigns for 56K speeds, but with 3/4ths of what Neilsen calls "active Internet users" on broadband, why worry? And with new technologies like WiMax coming around, which will allow entire metropolitan areas (and maybe more importantly, developing nations) to go wireless, things are going to go Wi High.
